Does Writing Well Equate to Good Grades?

Dear Editor,

When you begin law school when you are over 40 years old, you end up being with a number of fellow students who are a little over half your age. I remember a female student who was about 20 something telling me that I received good grades in law school because I could write well.

When I assured her that I was able to write well because I could think well, I figured I would not be bothered by her again.  I also remember that she was a political science major and always wore her phi beta kappa key around her neck. I also remember she had attended U.C. Davis. As far as the younger students went those from Stanford and U.C. Berkley impressed me the most.

The female student that I just described decided to barge into a discussion I was having with a fellow student who was also a pharmacist. We were discussing what blood test I would order to evaluate a patient’s kidney function before prescribing a certain medication. She informed us that she had read a series of articles in The Reader’s Digest that was all about the human kidney, and that she was sure that only a urine test would work! I explained that a urine test may work if the patient urinated in a bucket for 24 hours and then had his urine tested.

I found that many political science majors were like her because after all they majored in a “science”! You must remember the vast majority of law students and, of course, lawyers are political science majors. It is easy for these pseudo intellectuals to morph into useful idiots that have no trouble supporting left wing causes. The LGBTQ organization which celebrates pedophiles and child rapists and child butchery in the name of trans gender surgery is a cause that immediately comes to mind. That is why I consider the political science major problematic. In future letters I will explain why the AMA who represents doctors and the ABA who represent lawyers have also become so left wing. Many doctors do not belong to the AMA as the majority of lawyers do not belong to the ABA.
