Ever wonder how the salaries are set for the county’s elected officials?
An opportunity to find out is available by attending the public hearings of a board appointed specifically to set salaries. Yellowstone County’s Elected Officials’ Compensation board will meet on Tuesday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 15, 10 am in Room 3108 of the Stillwater Building.
Serving on the board, headed by County Attorney Scott Twito, are Yellowstone County elected officials and two at-large citizen appointees.
Their recommendations will be sent to the County Commissioners for their consideration.
