Obituary: Debby Dvorak

Our beloved wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend gained her angel wings on Friday, January 12, 2024. Debby (Weber) Dvorak was born on April 9, 1952 in Helena, MT to Henry and Lydia Weber. She was raised on the family farm in Ballantine, MT, where she hoed beets for her dad. Debby graduated from Huntley Project School in May 1970, and was a proud member of the Majorettes. On New Year’s Eve in 1967, Debby met the love of her life, Monte Dvorak, and they were married on October 24, 1970 in Worden, MT. They started their life together on the Spear-O-Ranch on Corral Creek. In 1971, they moved to Worden where they farmed alongside her parents, Henry and Lydia Weber and have been at their family farm from 1989 to present. In 1971, they welcomed their first daughter Trena, followed by Justine in 1974 and Melisha in 1979.

Debby worked at LaBell’s Department store in Billings for 5 years. She then stayed home to raise her family and work on the farm. Debby later returned back to the working world and started at Farmers Union Oil Company where she became Store Manager for 22 years until she retired in 2012. She met many people over the years and cherished all the friendships she made. Debby enjoyed doing ceramics, watching John Wayne movies, fishing and camping, and being on her women’s bowling league. She loved watching her kids in all their activities, Christmas, the Kansas City Chiefs, gardening and taking care of her yard, shopping at Cowboy Christmas during the NFR, and most of all she loved her grandchildren and great grand-children.

Debby got a lot of pleasure out of going on trips, with her favorites being to New York with her daughter and grand-daughter, to Disneyland with all her kids and grandkids, and her special trip of a lifetime to Alaska with Monte. Debby was a member of the Bethlehem Congregational Church and was very active in the Worden Senior Citizen group.

Debby is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Monte, children Trena Dvorak (Jay), Justine Swartz (Brett), Melisha Williams (Dan), and her step-son Jason Besch (Jackie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Shiane and Louden Miller, Danyk Jacobsen, Joselyn and Madelyn Carpenter, Colter Williams, Caleb and Tate Williams, and Owen, Isla and Logan Besch and her great-grandchildren Luke Brinkman, Eden and Rory Trahan. Debby was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lydia Weber, in-laws Anton and Leone Dvorak, special brother-in-laws Martin Lofing, Dean Washburn, Orviss Washburn and Doran Dvorak, grandparents, special aunt and uncle Emile and Olive Weber and birthmother Helen Hungerford.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19 at the Bethlehem Congregational Church in Worden. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Congregational Church in Worden, MT. We love and miss you so much already.
