Sherry Holderith

Sherry was a fun-loving person with the warmest heart and a huge smile. She loved talking to people and discussing what was going on in their lives. She loved pets, dogs, cats, goats… it did not matter, she loved them all.

Sherry passed away on May 21st, 2021 at the age of 58. She was Born on April 23rd, 1963 to Charlotte & Hollis Gilmore. Sherry has a twin sister Susan. Sherry and Susan did everything together growing up. Sherry and Susan’s mom has hundreds of photos of their childhood.

Sherry was born in Peoria Illinois, their family later moved to Burlington WA, where she met her husband John Holderith in 1979. Sherry and John moved to Florence MT in 1992, and later to Shepherd MT in 1997 where their current home is located. In 1998 Sherry and John adopted their son Tyler Holderith.

Sherry loved children, and always had the time to hold a baby, or bend down to touch a toddler, or talk to a young person, she was genuinely interested in their small world. She channelled that love of kids and became incredibly involved with the Shepherd School PTA, she held every position at the local level, and later became the Montana State PTA president, that role she served adoringly from 2014 – 2018.

Sherry is survived by her sister Susan Gravley, her mother Charlotte Gilmore, her son Tyler Holderith, and her husband John Holderith.

A celebration of life will take place at the Roadside Event Center in Huntley, next to the Bluecat bar and Grill on June 13, 2021 at 12:00 noon.
